HL Central is an independent corporation run by and for Harvard Law School students. HL Central was founded four years ago, and our mission is to improve student life through online services, social activities, and community service. The organization is legally and financially independent of the school, and funding is derived solely from donations made by sponsoring organizations. One of our organization’s goals is to make recruiting activities as useful as possible for both students and firms. For those firms who work with us, we are willing to organize recruitment events in their entirety (or just focus on any combination of the following) – contact the restaurant, make the arrangements, promote the event, and distribute firm information to students (through mailbox distribution, emails, and class announcements). After having been through the recruiting process as 1Ls and 2Ls, we are aware of what is successful (in terms of dates, locations, themes, etc.) and what is not, and we plan accordingly. As a standard sponsor of HL Central, your firm would be able to promote events on HLCentral.com, the most highly visible platform available for those targeting HLS students. In October 2003, visitors to HLCentral.com, primarily current HLS students, launched over 32,000 sessions. You may also elect to become a banner sponsor which would enable you to post a permanent banner on the front page of the site, with a direct link to your firm’s website. Alternatively you could become a premier sponsor and opt to place a link to your firm’s website on our main page. We currently have (1) available banner sponsorship opportunity and (3) available premier sponsorship opportunities.

Should you decide to become a sponsor of HL Central, we will assign you a firm liaison, a 1L who will be your connection to the Harvard Law School’s student body. This student will work with you on planning, producing, and promoting your recruiting events, and keep you abreast of other opportunities for exposure and recruiting. In addition, the student will promote the firm through mailbox stuffing, emails (we have the ability to email the entire student body if so desired), and word of mouth. To become a sponsor, we ask that your firm make a donation to our organization. The amount of the donation is determined by the level of sponsorship desired.
